Watering Schedule

The drip system is turned on each season once the last frost date has passed. Each plot will be watered with drip irrigation, twice per week. On your specific day, the drip will run for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening, so 2 hrs. total per day. Below is a schedule of exact days you can expect your garden to be watered. Hoses are available for use from 6am-8pm daily for additional watering needs.

As always, please continue to look for other ways to water efficiently. If you spot a leak in the drip system, please grab a red flag from the bench area and flag the leak for our irrigation repair team. Thank you for working to conserve water with us this season!

Tips

  • To conserve water, please avoid watering after it has rained or during the heat of the day.

  • If using a hose to water, please try to water in the morning or evening. The mid-day heat increases evaporation rates and is therefore the least efficient time to water.

  • Please turn spigots off after use.

  • Our system will be reevaluated each month based on current water usage, weather, recommendations from other agencies, etc. Plot renters will receive monthly email updates to keep you in the know of any changes!
