Bee Support Community (3 of 3)

  • Summit Community Gardens 4056 Shadow Mountain Road Park City United States (map)

What’s buzzing in the hives??

For folks that have started the journey as beekeepers, we know that managing bees up here in the high altitude and dry climate of Summit County is a unique experience that can be challenging. We are offering 3 “support group” style discussion classes this spring, summer and fall where you have the chance to join your fellow beekeepers and our bee specialist to chat bees, share stories, ask questions and just hear about what is buzzing in the world of beekeeping around park city as the summer progresses. This will be a great place to share information, learn from each other, talk about food sources, honey harvesting and anything else you might be dealing with in your hives. We will have a brief review of what should be going on in the hive at that time and then open the class up for questions. We recommended having the book “Dummies Guide to Beekeeping.”

There is no fee for these meetings, but please register in advance so we know who is coming! Also, donations are always appreciated and will be used to support our bees at Summit Community Gardens.
